We took our 19-month-old to the Ferry Building today. It wasn't our first time
there. Since our kid is walking very well, he can roam with us following him
without any problem. The crowd there seems cognizant of kids in the building and
are pretty good at avoiding the little people amongst them.
The real problem of the Ferry Building is that the public seating area is not
very kid-friendly. We cannot find a high chair anywhere. We haven't been to all
the restaurants yet but we do know that Taylor's Refresher and The Slanted Door
have high chairs and Hog Island Oysters Co. doesn't. If you plan to pack your
own food or dine at one of these places which may not provide high chairs, bring
your own booster or be prepared to be uncomfortable.
