i've been trying to get my 13-month-old to use a sippy cup for months now, but to no avail. i've tried a couple different brands (bornfree and nuby) that have soft spouts, but he doesn't seem to "get it". i've tried straws and for couple days a while back, he actually started getting the water into his mouth, but then very quickly he discovered blowing bubbles and that was the end of drinking through a straw. our pediatrician suggested just trying to let him drink water straight from a cup, but the flow is hard to control and just yesterday he gagged on the mouthful of water and threw his whole lunch up. any suggestions on what to do here? any tips that got your beloved to use a sippy cup?
